How to smooth sheet metal edges.
Tim borges north american distribution sales manager demonstrates how to smooth the edge of stainless steel sheet metal by using a w222 mounted point.
Step 3 repeat.
Step 1 secure the sheet metal to prevent slipping.
Step 2 use your die grinder with a mounted point we like shape w222 and simply run the point over the edge of the sheet metal.
There has to be an easier cheaper way.
I ve used brass tape on the curved edges to cover.
The cuts are curved not straight.
Cutting w scissors leaves sharp edges.
Is there a small tool to bend the edges flatten down.
As the rough edges are removed switch to finer grit sandpaper.
No pictures sorry.
Run the mounted point over the other sides to break those sharp.
Secure the sheet metal to prevent slipping.
Use the 220 grit sandpaper and begin to smooth the edges of the metal using light strokes.
This process will round the edge of the metal and create a groove in the point.
Thanx for any help.
