We hired our first vista to be part of what was then just a five person team. The solarcorps fellowship is an opportunity for highly motivated and enthusiastic people to join grid alternatives for a one year paid term of service to their community. From writing grant proposals to learning to install solar to recruiting volunteers to putting together donated office. For a few months he worked in the field of digital design but searching for more meaningful gainful employment led him to grid alternatives.
